Swing Gate Leaf Size and Operator Selection
A swing gate motor must be selected from the length and weight of each individual leaf together with hinge geometry, wind exposure, opening angle, daily cycles and the manufacturer's application chart.
Total driveway width is not enough. A two-leaf gate with a four-metre opening normally has two approximately two-metre leaves, and each operator must suit its own leaf and mounting geometry.
Measure Each Leaf Separately
Measure from the hinge axis to the outer edge and record the construction weight of each leaf. Double gates can have unequal leaves, so do not assume both motors face the same load.

Estimate normal and peak operation. A residential leaf used several times daily differs from a compound entrance operating repeatedly. Select duty from the exact operator specification.
